Job Purpose: This position assists the Deputy Manager (First Aid Service) to plan and execute the development and operation related to Hong Kong Red Cross’s First Aid Service (FAS); including volunteer development and management of the First Aid Response Unit (FARU) and to maintain its quality service delivery. Key Responsibilities : Assist Deputy Manager (FAS) in preparing prehospital and emergency care development plan’s implementation strategy and annual plans, as well as proposal and report writing and coordinating the team members and volunteers, in event first aid, local emergency assessment, operation planning and execution Act as operation in-charge for designated events/ local emergency operations according to Agency’s emergency response mechanism Ensure the team members and volunteers provide quality service based on humanitarian needs and the FARU protocols Assist Deputy Manager (FAS) in volunteer management, including recruitment and retention, organizing trainings and sharing sessions for FARU to strengthen the FAS response mechanism and volunteer preparedness capacity Represent HKRC to organize and participate in regular local drills and/or trainings Coordination with relevant internal and external stakeholders for projects and/or operations Perform emergency first aid operations duty for urgent enquiries and emergency call out, including act as Duty Staff in absence of Deputy Manager (FAS) / Manager (FAS); during holidays, non-office hours or extreme weather , if deems necessary Requirements: University Degree holder in any discipline, preferably in Social Science, Public Health or Public Administration Minimum 2 years relevant working experience in humanitarian or social service sector Experience in working as a volunteer in humanitarian response is a definite asset Strong communication and presentation skills, mature, proactive and able to work independently and under pressure Qualified as First Aid Trainer of Hong Kong Red Cross, or any recognized professional organization, and holder of valid first aid certification is preferred Require to work on holidays or non-office hour according to emergency operation needs Proficient in PC knowledge (including Microsoft Office) Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) Contract period: 2 year (Renewable) Fringe Benefits: Fringe benefits including generous annual leave, marriage leave, caring leave, volunteer leave, medical and dental benefits (including dependents), Employer MPF voluntary contribution, and a discretionary incentive payment (where applicable) will be offered to the right candidates.​​ Interested candidates are invited to submit an online application, by clicking the "Apply" button.
