Senior Finance Executive (Financial Reporting & GL)

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Finance Executive – Financial Reporting & General Ledger to support the Finance Manager in managing the Company's financial reporting, month-end closing, and accounting operations. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy of financial records, strengthen internal controls, and provide guidance to the finance team. Job Description : Assist the Finance Manager in overseeing the day-to-day finance operations. Lead the monthly and year-end financial closing process. Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules. Review journal entries, general ledger transactions, and balance sheet reconciliations. Monitor fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, and other accounting adjustments. Coordinate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Income Audit, Cost Control, Purchasing, and General Cashier to ensure accurate financial reporting. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities during audits and statutory submissions. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and company policies. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, and system efficiency. Job Requirements : Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably in the hospitality or service industry. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger, and month-end closing. Good understanding of Malaysian accounting standards, SST, and statutory compliance. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (eg. IDB). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Able to work independently while leading and supporting a team.
