Product Development Officer (Luggage)

About the role Primary owner of communication on development with designer and suppliers for luggage. Work closely with teams to complete the product development process, including communication with production units on product workability, price negotiation, cost evaluation, capacity planning, lead time, problem solving, and quality evaluation. Key responsibilities Primary owner of communication on development with designer and suppliers for luggage Communication with production unit for luggage suppliers on product workability, price negotiation, cost evaluation, capacity planning, lead time, problem solving, and quality evaluation Work closely with teams to complete the product development process Provide clerical and administrative support on daily operation of product development department Work closely with manufacturers during the design stages to incorporate manufacturability into the product designs Follow through the bulk production process and assure the goods comply with the company standard Perform other special projects and functions as assigned by the Superior About you Working experience in luggage product development is required Good factory source and capable to deal with manufacturers independently Excellent attention to detail while managing multi-tasking across multiple seasons Ability to prioritize and meet essential deadlines Effective problem solving, organizational skills and negotiation skills Self-starter with the ability to collaborate with several cross functional teams Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin Available to travel to China and visit factories
