BUILDING WASH TECHNICIAN

About the role WashRite Christchurch is seeking Building Wash Technicians to join our growing team in Christchurch and the Canterbury Region. These are full-time or part time positions that play a crucial role in maintaining the pristine appearance of commercial and residential buildings across the region. As a Building Wash Technician, you will be responsible for operating specialised cleaning equipment and delivering high-quality exterior cleaning services. These roles are essential to our mission of providing professional building maintenance solutions to our valued clients. You will work on-site at various locations throughout Christchurch and surrounding areas. Key responsibilities Operate and maintain our SOFT WASH cleaning equipment, including pressure washers and water-fed poles, to clean building exteriors, facades and surfaces Perform building facade cleaning services safely and efficiently, adhering to all health and safety protocols Prepare work areas and protect surrounding surfaces from water damage or debris Inspect buildings and surfaces before and after cleaning to ensure work meets quality standards Mix and apply appropriate cleaning solutions and detergents where required Conduct routine maintenance and checks on cleaning equipment to ensure optimal performance Work at heights using appropriate safety equipment and fall prevention systems when necessary Document work completed and report any issues or additional requirements to management Communicate effectively with site supervisors and clients regarding cleaning schedules and any concerns Contribute to a safe and professional working environment for yourself and your colleagues What we're looking for Proven experience as a Building Wash Technician, pressure washing operative, or similar role in the cleaning or building maintenance industry would be an advantage, however full training would be given to potential suitable non-experienced applicants who wish to make a career in the Building Wash industry. Valid driver's licence. Physically fit and capable of working at heights and performing manual tasks for extended periods Demonstrated knowledge of water pressure equipment operation and safety procedures Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality results Excellent health and safety awareness and willingness to comply with all safety regulations Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues Relevant certifications or qualifications in pressure washing, working at heights, or health and safety (desirable) Experience with rope access or abseiling techniques (preferred but not essential) What we offer At WashRite Christchurch, we value our team members and provide a competitive employment package.
