Contracts Administrator / Estimator - Commercial Plumbing $115k + super | Up to $130k + super for plumbing experience Commercial plumbing projects | Contracts, variations and estimating Office-based role | Tender through to project completion Zenith Search is currently working with a commercial plumbing contractor seeking a Contracts Administrator / Estimator to join their office-based team. This role is best suited to someone with experience in contracts administration, estimating or project administration across plumbing, hydraulics, mechanical services or commercial construction . You will support commercial projects from tender and award through to completion, working closely with Project Managers, site teams, suppliers, subcontractors and clients. The Role This is a hands-on project support role covering contracts, documentation, variations, procurement, claims and estimating support. You will be involved across the full project lifecycle, helping keep project information accurate, costs tracked and documentation moving. The role will suit someone who can read drawings, track variations, source pricing and support Project Managers with day-to-day commercial and project administration. What's On Offer Permanent full-time opportunity Office-based role Commercial plumbing contractor Salary around $115k + super , depending on experience Up to $130k + super for direct plumbing industry experience Junior construction candidates considered from $90k-$100k + super Exposure across contracts administration and estimating Project involvement from tender through to completion Career growth within the plumbing and construction industry Supportive team environment Key Responsibilities Review contracts, scope documents and project requirements Review drawings, specifications and contract documentation Source material and subcontractor pricing Prepare purchase orders and assist with procurement Assess, price and process project variations Prepare progress claims Prepare and submit project documentation Assist Project Managers with project delivery support Assist with take-offs, pricing and tender support Liaise with builders, clients, suppliers and subcontractors Support projects from tender stage through to completion What You Will Need Experience in contracts administration, estimating or project administration Background in plumbing, hydraulics, mechanical services or commercial construction highly regarded Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and construction documents Understanding of construction contracts, scopes of work and project documentation Experience with variations, procurement, claims or tender support Attention to detail Analytical and problem-solving skills Clear written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines Competency using Microsoft Word and Excel Willingness to learn new systems and processes Junior Candidates Junior construction candidates may be considered if they have some construction exposure and a genuine interest in building a career across contracts, estimating and commercial plumbing project support. The salary guide for junior candidates will sit between $90k-$100k + super , depending on experience. Training can be provided for the right person, but previous exposure to construction documentation, drawings, procurement or project administration will be highly regarded. Highly Regarded Plumbing or hydraulic services experience Commercial construction experience Procore experience Estimating or take-off experience Experience working closely with Project Managers and site teams Supplier and subcontractor coordination experience About You You will be proactive, reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment. You will take pride in accurate work, communicate clearly and enjoy supporting both the commercial and delivery sides of a project.
