Job Description: Service Development Manager Work Location: North District Reporting Line: CEO Position Summary Reporting to the CEO, this position is responsible for leading the overall planning, development and execution of fundraising and communications strategies, with specific plans across different funding sources, donor segments, and service areas to meet organizational objectives. The role will support the CEO to establish service positioning, build brand awareness, identify target funders and corporate partners, and develop service marketing plans with specific objectives in service innovation, fundraising, branding, and partnership development. Position Responsibilities and Accountabilities Core responsibilities (1) To lead the overall planning, development and execution of fundraising and communications strategies in creative and cost-effective ways (2) To formulate strategy and action plans for the development of private sector partnerships and sponsorships, and to outreach opportunities with potential donors or partners in both public and private sectors (3) To develop plans and strategies to attract individual and regular donors, and set up donor engagement programs (4) To build brand awareness through integrated service marketing and communications efforts (5) To identify and develop new and effective fundraising initiatives, platforms and channels, including social media, and to execute creative content for digital channels to maximize service and campaign exposure (6) To manage all social media platforms (including content planning, scheduling, community engagement, performance tracking, and advertising) to ensure consistent brand voice and maximize reach (7) To lead flagship fundraising events, including developing event creative concepts, key visual design, floor plans, and managing end-to-end event execution (8) To lead, execute and follow through holistic service development plans, including pilot projects, scaling strategies, and impact measurement (9) To prepare funding applications, sponsorship proposals, and partnership proposals, and make presentations to potential funders, sponsors, and partners (10) To manage funders and their programs, including grant reporting, budget monitoring, compliance, and relationship management (11) To collaborate with corporate partners and other NGOs to co-design and co-deliver services, leveraging shared resources and expertise (12) To apply knowledge of AI applications to enhance service delivery, beneficiary targeting, data analysis, and operational efficiency (13) To develop and implement marketing and communication plans for new services, including audience segmentation, messaging, and channel strategies (14) To manage the CRM system (including donor and supporter database management, data hygiene, segmentation, reporting, and integration with fundraising and communication campaigns) (15) To work closely with cross-functional colleagues, and to liaise, manage and coordinate with multiple external parties, contractors, vendors, and AI solution providers to ensure smooth implementation of all service initiatives and events (16) To coordinate with different parties (internal teams, external partners, volunteers) to ensure smooth running of service projects and fundraising campaigns (17) To prepare action plans for all working parties and project schedules (18) To manage and control project costs and schedules, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget (19) To manage pre-service launch and pre-event arrangements, logistics coordination, and on-site supervision for service-related events and flagship fundraising events (20) To deliver effective marketing communications materials for different service campaigns, including press releases, leaflets, online and offline advertisements, promotion collaterals, campaign souvenirs, and frontline communication materials (e.g., FAQs) (21) To perform other duties as assigned by the CEO Key Result Areas (1) Strategic planning and goal setting for service development and fundraising (2) Funding targets and success rate of funding applications (3) Individual and regular donor acquisition and retention (4) Donor engagement program effectiveness (5) Funder, sponsor, and corporate partner relationship management (6) Brand awareness and organization branding and image (7) Social media performance (engagement, reach, conversion) (8) CRM system data quality and utilization for campaigns (9) Flagship fundraising event development and program management (10) Service project management and program outcomes (11) Cross-sector collaboration (corporate and NGO partners) (12) Integration of AI applications into service delivery (13) Marketing and communication effectiveness for service promotion (14) Governance and compliance Position Requirements and Qualifications (1) Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, Social Work, or equivalent (2) 5–8 years of practical experience and sound knowledge in service development, fundraising, grant writing, partnership management, or program management (3) Proven experience in funding application and funding proposal writing, with a track record of securing grants or sponsorships (4) Experience in managing funders and their programs, including reporting, budgeting, and compliance (5) Demonstrated experience in collaboration with corporate partners and other NGOs (6) Working knowledge or strong interest in AI applications relevant to NGO service delivery (e.g., data analytics, beneficiary profiling, chatbots, automation) (7) Marketing and communication experience, including content creation, campaign planning, multichannel stakeholder engagement, and brand building (8) Hands-on experience in managing social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) and using social media management tools (9) Experience in managing a CRM system (10) Passion to serve our community and work for an NGO with many fury friends around (11) Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior-level business partners, funders, donors, and community leaders (12) People person, team player with strong sense of ownership (13) Excellent business judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills (14) Track record and solid experience in developing, planning, and implementing successful strategies and programs
