Details Job : Permanent Full Time Location : Christchurch Pay : $29.00 - $31.00 per hour Current Vacancies : 6 Positions Working Hours Between : Monday to Friday / 6am to 5pm Hours : 40 Hours Weekly Why Join Us Great company culture and friendly teams across all our business divisions We are proud of our achievements and standards of professionalism Professional career development, training opportunities and support We are a well-established company with 340+ employees nationally PPE Gear to get you started Job Description Handle straight and pre-bent steel safely and efficiently Tie reinforcing steel cages and other similar work as directed Read, understand and accurately follow the layout of drawings, production detail sheets and specifications to allow installation of straight and pre-bent reinforcing steel to meet project timeframes Read and Understand Detail Sheets and Specifications Conduct safety checks for all hand tools and machinery are in good working order Able to accurately Cut - Bend and Shear Reinforcing Steel using hand tools or CNC bending/cutting machinery Ensure raw and packaging materials are always available Have an eye for Quality Control Assist with loading of trucks when required for dispatch What we need from you Minimum 3 Year experience in Steel Placing Excellent work ethic with a positive attitude High drive to be successful and willing to go that extra mile Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical test if successful Ability to read and understand detailing and constructions plans/drawings Gantry, forklift, driver license and/or First Aid certificates desirable Reliable and honest Good written and oral communication skills Good knowledge of OHS Site Safe accreditation preferred All applicants must have full working rights in NZ.
