Event Operations Support

We’re looking for a reliable, switched on, practical person to join the Colab Projects crew in an Event Operations Support role. This is an entry level role, but it’s not a sit on the sidelines kind of job. You’ll be right in the mix, learning how we deliver projects from the warehouse to the workshop and onsite at events. You’ll work across warehouse, workshop, print & signage, logistics and event delivery. As you get good at one area, we’ll teach you the next — building your skills, confidence and responsibility along the way. What You’ll Be Doing It’s a varied role, and you’ll support wherever the team needs you. Warehouse & Logistics Pick and pack jobs using pack sheets Load and unload vehicles Help with deliveries and collections Check, maintain and organise equipment and stock Assist with stocktakes Keep the warehouse and workshop clean and ready to go Workshop & Production Help with pre builds and assembly Learn basic fabrication and workshop skills Help get projects ready for install Support Project Managers and the wider team Events & Onsite Pack in and pack out events Assist with graphic application and installation Prepare and load jobs for site Work alongside experienced crew and build your onsite skills What We’re Looking For You don’t need loads of experience. We’re more interested in how you approach things. You’ll fit right in if you’re: Reliable, practical and keen to get stuck in A quick learner who takes direction and feedback A good communicator and team player Organised and willing to take ownership Safety conscious Keen to learn and try new things A holder of a full NZ driver licence Comfortable with early starts, late finishes, overtime and weekends when the job requires it The Reality Our standard hours are 7:30am–4:00pm, Monday–Friday. When we’re delivering events, the hours change— early starts, late finishes, overtime and weekend work are part of the gig. If you’re looking for a quiet 9–5, this probably isn’t it. If you want variety, momentum, hands-on work and a crew that has each other’s backs, you’ll fit right in. We’re a practical bunch, we work hard, have a laugh and take pride in what we deliver.
