General Farm Hand

We are a family owned business and a leading producer in the horticultural industry and farm on properties in the Lockyer Valley. About the Role As our business is growing, we have opportunities for you to build a career with us as a farm hand within our team. Our farm hands are guided by the farm managers, on general farm hand duties related to row crop horticulture farming as well assisting in the running of the packing shed. Over time, as you develop, your duties will expand, and there will be opportunity for you to grow in the role and within the business. Your key responsibilities will include: Ground preparation Crop tendering Assisting in shed operations The setup of irrigation Equipment maintenance Grounds maintenance Over time your responsibilities could expand to include chemical and fertilizer application Tractor and farming equipment operations Spray operations Ordinary Hours of Work are Monday - Friday but the position requires the candidate to have a level of flexibility which requires working after hours and weekends. The successful applicant with need to have the experience and skills in Irrigation, Tractor Driving, Small Crop Production and General Farm Duties. Other favourable skills and qualification include Chemcert, Forklift Licence and HR Licence however a Current Driver Licence and the Current Right to work in Australia is essential to the role.
