Highlights of the role Centralised, group-level transportation governance role Newly created headcount Drive centralised road-fleet visibility, cost control and performance improvement Set up KPI standards and reporting routines for vehicles and transport subcontractors Team leading position Permanent opportunity About the client Our client is a leading logistics organisation with a sizeable Hong Kong transportation network across multiple Business Units. To strengthen operational discipline and cost visibility, the organisation is building a central transportation governance capability. This role will act as the group-level owner of transportation systems, commercial road-fleet performance and governance standards. You will establish a more consistent and data-led approach to vehicle utilisation, maintenance, fuel, transportation costs and subcontractor performance. This is not a dispatch, routing or single-Business-Unit P&L role. It is an opportunity to influence how transportation activities are measured, governed and improved across the wider organisation. Job Responsibilities Develop central dashboards for vehicle utilisation, mileage, fuel, operating costs, driver behaviour and repair and maintenance performance Lead and develop a dedicated team of three, overseeing group-wide fleet performance reporting, systems coordination and governance improvement initiatives Establish group standards for fleet governance, reporting, exception management and performance review Analyse data across Business Units to identify under-utilised, high-cost or under-performing vehicles and recommend improvement actions Develop a central subcontractor governance framework covering price comparison, KPIs, performance reviews and compliance Coordinate transportation policies, systems and reporting practices across Hong Kong Business Units Partner with IT, Finance, Procurement, Operations and vendors to improve data quality, automation and cost discipline Lead system enhancement initiatives involving fleet-management systems, telematics, TMS or reporting tools Conduct periodic visits to depots, workshops, subcontractor facilities and operating sites Skills and requirements Degree holder in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transportation, Business, Engineering, Finance or a related discipline At least 8 years experience in road transportation, commercial vehicle fleet management, logistics systems, cost control or operational excellence Strong understanding of vehicle utilisation, fleet costs, fuel, maintenance and transportation subcontractor management Experience developing dashboards, performance reports, governance frameworks or transport-management processes Strong analytical, project-management and stakeholder-management capabilities Previous team-leadership experience is preferred Good command of English and Chinese, with Cantonese and Mandarin preferred To apply If you believe you meet the above requirements and have the passion and drive to excel in this role, we invite you to submit your application.
