Electrical Fitter

The Opportunity We're looking for an experienced Electrical Fitter to join our Hawke's Bay team. This is a permanent, full-time position with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week, offering the opportunity to work on critical electricity infrastructure that keeps homes, businesses, and communities connected across the region. As an Electrical Fitter, you'll provide safe and reliable cost-effective construction, installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of electrical equipment used throughout the electricity distribution network. What you'll be doing Construct, install, commission, test, maintain, and repair electrical distribution and substation equipment. Undertake fault-finding, servicing, and maintenance of network assets, including transformers, switchgear, protection systems, reclosers, and sectionaliser equipment. Install and maintain temporary generation equipment, working closely with customers and contractors on-site. Support the safe and reliable operation of the electricity network through regular inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance. Provide technical advice and support to colleagues, contractors, and project teams. Assist with project delivery, documentation, planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. Mentor and support Apprentice Electricians when required.
