About the role: As an Electrical Fitter/Electrician, you will support the Technical Services workshop team by constructing, installing, and maintaining distribution network equipment and infrastructure. Working collaboratively with workshop and technician teams, you will deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions that meet customer and network requirements Key Responsibilities: Construct, install, and maintain substations, switchgear, kiosks, and electrical equipment Undertake testing, commissioning, fault finding, and repairs on HV & LV installations Read and interpret electrical diagrams, drawings, and specifications Maintain tools and equipment in a safe and reliable condition Actively contribute to health and safety practices and continuous improvement initiatives About you: You are a motivated and proactive electrician who takes pride in delivering quality work and contributing to a strong team culture. You bring a professional and customer-focused approach, with the ability to work independently while also supporting colleagues and wider business objectives. Additionally, you will bring: NZ Registered Electrician with relevant industry experience Minimum Class 2 driver’s licence (additional endorsements advantageous) Strong problem-solving and communication skills Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings A commitment to health, safety, and continuous improvement MainPower requires all successful applicants to complete a pre-employment drug test.
