Experienced Electrician - Melbourne Australia - Fixed Term

Macmor is looking for an experienced electrician to join our Melbourne team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension by mutual agreement based on project needs and performance. New Zealand citizens can live and work in Australia under the Trans-Tasman Travel Arrangement (Special Category Visa, subclass 444), so no separate work visa is required. We have been in operation for over 25 years and have a strong team of electricians delivering service, maintenance, and construction to predominately the healthcare, education, retail, and hospitality sectors. We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our local Melbourne team for a defined-term project engagement. Reporting directly to our Melbourne Directors, the position will be focused on delivering prompt, reliable, and knowledgeable service to our well-established client base. The successful applicant will need to have: • Exceptional electrical knowledge across a range of areas (AV knowledge will be highly regarded but not essential) • Excellent problem-solving skills • Good communication skills • A team-oriented approach • Strong administration skills • Computer literacy The role will require an independent, knowledgeable, and proactive attitude. To be successful you will have, or be able to obtain prior to starting: • Current Driver's Licence • Current Victorian Electrical Licence (New Zealand-registered electricians can apply to convert their licence under the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Arrangement) • Current Construction Induction (White Card) (one day course to be paid by Macmor) • Current Working with Children Check (Victoria) (to be applied for upon arrival) • Access to hand/cordless tools This is a fixed-term opportunity for 12 months, with genuine potential to extend by mutual agreement depending on project pipeline and performance — offering New Zealand-based electricians a clear pathway to an ongoing role in Australia if it's the right fit.
