About the job: We’re looking for an experienced Water Serviceperson to join our team of everyday heroes in New Plymouth! If you’re practical, hands-on and enjoy work that makes a real difference to your community, we’d love to hear from you. Whether you’re already experienced in the water industry or ready to take the next step in your career, we’re interested in hearing from you. This role involves: Repairing leaking water mains Repairing and installing service pipes and leaking hydrants Repairing meter connections and replacing meters when required Servicing valves and hydrants Trenching, excavation and operating plant and equipment General labouring and supporting the wider team as required What you’ll need: We’re looking for someone who is reliable, safety-focused and enjoys being part of a team. Ideally, you’ll have: Previous experience in the water industry, plumbing experience, or a strong interest in developing a career in the sector. A Class 1 licence and confidence driving a manual vehicle Wheels, Tracks and Rollers licence endorsements Experience with trenching and excavation Confidence operating plant and equipment A Level 4 National Certificate in Water Reticulation, or be working towards one is desirable Don’t tick every box?
