Welder Fabricator

We have multiple permanent and temporary opportunities available for Welder Fabricators with leading engineering and manufacturing companies across Christchurch. Whether your background is in structural steel, heavy fabrication, industrial pipework, pressure vessel work, or general engineering, we have a range of roles available to match your experience and welding processes. Key Responsibilities: Fabrication of stainless steel, mild steel, aluminium, and carbon steel components. Working on a variety of projects including structural steel, pipework, pressure piping, process equipment, heavy fabrication, machinery, and general engineering. MIG, TIG, FCAW (flux core), and SMAW (arc) welding to a high standard. Fabricating, fitting, assembling, and welding from technical drawings and workshop plans. Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and safety. What We're Looking For: Proven experience as a Fabricator in a workshop or manufacturing environment. Experience working with plate, pipe, structural steel, sheet metal, or heavy fabricated assemblies. Competency in MIG, TIG, FCAW, or SMAW welding (tickets/certifications advantageous but not essential). Ability to read and interpret workshop drawings and fabrication plans. Comfortable working independently or as part of a team. Full NZ working rights or a valid work visa. What’s in it for you?
