Maintenance Team Leader About the Role: We are excited to announce an opportunity to join our team as a Maintenance Team Leader at Spring Creek Barramundi. In this key role, you will assist with the maintenance and repairs of our plant and equipment, ensuring smooth operations and maximizing productivity. Reporting to the Farm Manager, you will be part of our senior management team and lead a small group of dedicated staff members. Together, you will coordinate and conduct routine maintenance of our machinery and farm infrastructure, developing planning strategies for future equipment needs. Our Barramundi farm has a range of equipment, including excavators, dump trucks, forklifts, 4WD vehicles, tractors, and general farm machinery. This is a Monday to Friday role including a 9-day fortnight, ensuring a great work-life balance. About You: We’re looking for someone who can effectively plan and maintain schedules for upkeep. While trade qualifications are not mandatory, they are a plus! You should have the skills to handle basic repairs and breakdowns, working with contractors as needed. Key traits we value include: Attention to detail and strong communication skills. Leadership qualities and the ability to foster a positive team environment. A hands-on, can-do attitude towards machinery and maintenance. The ability to uphold schedules and meet timelines. Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain and repair farm plant and equipment, including generators, pumps, buildings, and other machinery, using your skills and contractors as necessary. Operate machinery, such as telehandlers, excavators, forklifts, 4WDs, and light trucks, when required. Working with the operations manager to complete earthworks involving the use of roller, skid steer and maintenance of farm roads. Work a 40-hour week on a 9-day fortnight roster (5 on, 2 off, 4 on, 3 off). Implement safety processes following our safe work system. Maintain attention to detail and take pride in your work. Be available for on-call duties for occasional after-hours breakdowns on a rostered basis. Vegetation management including mowing, whipper snipping, slashing and poisoning where required Uphold and maintain the safe work system Ideal Applicant: Hands-on experience with preventive maintenance and repairs of farm infrastructure. Relevant experience in mechanical, construction, or industrial fields. Experience leading a small team is highly desirable. Ability to source and order goods and services as needed. Position Requirements: Current Driver's License. Current Construction White Card (must be obtained if not already held). Current First Aid Certificate (must be obtained if not already held). Excavator - at the expense of the company if training is needed Forklift and Telehandler (must be obtained if not already held; we will arrange this during work time at the candidate's expense).
