Senior Roofer

About the role HighFly Roofing is looking for an experienced Senior Roofer to join the Christchurch team. This is not an office-based management role. The successful candidate will still put the tool belt on, but has the experience and confidence to take ownership of jobs and help lead the crew around them when required. Key responsibilities Long-run metal roofing Residential re-roofs and new roofs Commercial roofing and wall cladding Architectural roofing Flashings and detailed roofing work Running smaller jobs and organising the crew when required Working alongside management to keep jobs moving Maintaining HighFly's workmanship and safety standards About you 5+ years' roofing experience Highly competent with long-run metal roofing Produces quality work without needing to be watched Can think ahead and solve problems on site Can organise themselves and others Takes pride in leaving a job right Communicates well with staff, builders and clients Has a full NZ driver's licence Takes health and safety seriously Is reliable and turns up ready to work Must have working rights for New Zealand LBP or relevant qualifications are an advantage, but experience and ability are more important Benefits Excellent hourly rate – negotiable for the right person Full-time, consistent work Variety of quality roofing projects around Christchurch A good mix of residential, commercial and architectural work Opportunity to take ownership of jobs Opportunity to progress into a Leading Hand / Foreman role Good gear, systems and support A company that values good roofers and quality workmanship About us HighFly Roofing has a strong workload across residential, commercial and architectural roofing in Christchurch.
