We are currently seeking experienced Duct Fabricators to join our team on long-term residential, commercial, and construction projects across the South Island. Due to our clients' requirements and project timeframes, only candidates with the legal right to work in New Zealand will be considered for this role. Key Responsibilities Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication plans to determine materials, dimensions, and installation requirements. Selecting and preparing appropriate materials, including galvanised steel, stainless steel, and aluminium sheet metal. Fabricating ducting systems using welding, riveting, soldering, brazing, and other sheet metal fabrication techniques. Measuring, cutting, folding, assembling, and finishing ductwork components to specification. Installing and securing duct systems, including overhead and high-level installations. Apply insulation (lagging) and connect ductwork to HVAC systems as required. Carrying out repairs, modifications, and maintenance of existing ductwork systems. Requirements Minimum 3 years' experience in duct fabrication, sheet metal fabrication, or HVAC duct installation. Proven experience working on commercial, industrial, or large-scale construction projects. Strong understanding of duct fabrication methods, HVAC systems, and installation practices. Experience working with seismic bracing and support systems is highly desirable. Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour, including working at heights when required. Full Class 1 Driver Licence and reliable transport. Benefits Competitive hourly rate of $28-$32 per hour, depending on experience. Opportunities available across the Auckland and North Island.
