About the role We are looking for an experienced Mobile Phone & Device Repair Technician to join our Christchurch team. This is a hands-on, full-time role in a busy repair environment, working across a wide range of devices, models and faults. You'll have opportunities to build advanced repair and diagnostic skills as you grow with the business. Key responsibilities Repair iPhones, Samsung and other smartphones Repair iPads and other tablets Screen, battery, charging and other hardware repairs Diagnose and troubleshoot device faults Complete repairs to a high standard Communicate clearly with customers when required Manage repair jobs efficiently and work independently About you We're looking for someone with: Hands-on mobile phone repair experience Experience repairing both iPhone and Samsung devices Experience with iPad or tablet repairs Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills Careful, consistent workmanship The ability to work independently in a busy repair environment Experience in any of the following is a strong advantage, but is not essential: OCA / glass-only screen restoration iPhone back-glass repair iPhone housing replacement Laptop and MacBook repair Microsoldering or board-level diagnosis RepairDesk or other repair-shop POS systems Why join us We handle a high volume and wide variety of repairs, giving you exposure to different devices, models, faults and repair techniques every day. You'll gain hands-on experience across smartphones, tablets, laptops and MacBooks, with opportunities to develop beyond standard screen and battery replacements. For technicians who want to develop further, we can provide training in specialised repair techniques such as OCA / glass restoration, back-glass repair and advanced fault diagnosis. Future Auckland opportunity We operate in both Christchurch and Auckland. For the right person, there may be an opportunity in the future to relocate to our Auckland store after completing training and gaining experience with our repair procedures in Christchurch. Relocation is optional and can be discussed as your role develops. Working hours This is a full-time, rostered position of approximately 40 hours per week, typically rostered across 5 days. Our Christchurch store operates 7 days a week, from 9:00am to 7:00pm. Your roster will be scheduled within these operating hours and will include some weekend work. Flexibility with rostered days is important, while regular days off will be provided each week. If you later take up an opportunity at our Auckland store, working hours and roster arrangements will be discussed based on the Auckland store's operating hours.
