Position Summary The Global Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end Demand Management process across all manufacturing sites to ensure optimal service levels, inventory performance, material availability, and production readiness. This role partners closely with Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, Production, and Finance to translate customer demand into executable supply plans while balancing capacity, inventory investment, and business objectives. The position will establish and govern a global Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, drive forecast accuracy, improve supply chain visibility, and standardize planning practices across all regions to support sustainable business growth and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: 1. Demand Management & Forecast Planning Lead the global demand planning process across all sites and business units. Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and Commercial teams to develop accurate demand forecasts. Consolidate customer forecasts, market trends, seasonal demand, and business intelligence into a rolling demand plan. Monitor forecast accuracy and demand variability, driving continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct monthly demand reviews and challenge assumptions to ensure forecast reliability. Develop demand planning standards, governance, and KPI reporting across all regions. 2. Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Lead the monthly global S&OP process to balance demand, supply, inventory, and production capacity. Facilitate executive S&OP meetings and provide recommendations on risks, constraints, and mitigation plans. Drive cross-functional alignment among Sales, Operations, Procurement, Finance, and Supply Chain. Monitor demand-supply gaps and develop corrective action plans. 3. Supply & Capacity Planning Convert demand forecasts into supply and inventory plans. Collaborate with site Supply Chain, PMC, and Operations teams to ensure adequate capacity and resource availability. Identify capacity constraints and develop mitigation strategies through production balancing, outsourcing, overtime, or capacity expansion. Maintain global visibility of production loading and service capability across all manufacturing sites. 4. Procurement & Material Planning Collaboration Work closely with Procurement teams to align purchasing strategies with forecasted demand. Establish rolling procurement forecasts to support long lead-time materials and critical components. Review supplier lead times, purchase cycles, and replenishment parameters to ensure material availability. Drive planning discipline to minimize material shortages, excess inventory, and obsolete stock. 5. Inventory Optimization Develop inventory strategies that balance working capital and customer service requirements. Establish and monitor safety stock, reorder points, and inventory governance standards. Lead initiatives to reduce excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory. Improve inventory visibility and drive inventory accuracy across all sites. 6. Global Process Standardization Standardize demand planning, forecasting, S&OP, inventory management, and replenishment processes globally. Establish common KPIs, dashboards, and reporting methodologies. Drive best-practice sharing and continuous improvement across all regions. Support digital transformation initiatives involving ERP, MRP, APS, and Power BI reporting solutions. Qualifications: Education Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or related discipline. Experience Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, demand planning, S&OP, procurement, or manufacturing operations. At least 5 years of experience in a regional or global leadership role, preferably within a multi-site manufacturing environment. Proven experience in demand forecasting, inventory optimization, procurement planning, and implementation of S&OP processes. Strong background in multinational manufacturing operations, with the ability to work effectively across functions, regions, and cultures. Solid knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, preferably Microsoft D365, and advanced planning tools, including AI-enabled solutions. Candidates with less experience may be considered for a manager-level position.
