About the role Our client, a leading multinational FMCG company, is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support its newly established Japan Supply Chain team. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager in Japan, this role will play a key part in daily logistics operations, order management, inventory control, and SAP administration for the Japan market. Key Responsibilities Order Management & Logistics Coordination Process customer orders and coordinate deliveries to customers. Liaise with distributors, warehouses, 3PL providers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners. Maintain accurate order, invoice, and delivery records within SAP. Verify shipment quantities and supporting documentation. Inventory & Stock Control Monitor inventory levels and stock conditions across warehouses. Perform regular stock reconciliation between warehouse management systems and SAP. Support inventory tracking, stock transfers, and location management in SAP. Prepare weekly and monthly inventory and stock availability reports. SAP & System Administration Create and maintain purchase orders and sales orders. Process goods receipts, invoicing, and inventory transactions in SAP. Ensure data accuracy and timely updates within ERP systems. Support supply chain reporting and operational data maintenance. Reporting & Operational Support Support logistics KPI reporting and inventory analysis. Coordinate with Supply Chain, Finance, and Demand Planning teams. Assist with continuous process improvement initiatives. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related discipline. 4+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain operations, inventory management, or customer order management. Strong hands-on experience with SAP (SD/MM modules preferred). Experience in: Order taking / order processing Stock reconciliation Inventory management Logistics operations Good understanding of warehouse and distribution operations. Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills. Business-level English communication skills. Japanese language ability is advantageous but not mandatory.
