Role Overview : The role is responsible for end-to-end software engineering and solution delivery, from understanding business problems and requirements through solution architecture, technical design, integration, implementation, testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement. The role is expected to deliver reliable, secure, maintainable, scalable, and business-aligned solutions across a multi-system and multi-branch environment, working directly with users, business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors. Key Responsibilities Engage directly with users and business stakeholders to understand business problems, processes, requirements, and constraints; translate them into technical requirements and solutions, and challenge requirements where appropriate. Evaluate and design Build, Integrate, Automate, or reuse-existing-capability approaches based on business value, cost, risk, security, maintainability, and delivery timeline. Design Solution Architecture and Technical Design appropriate to the scope, including system flows, component / service interactions, data flows, API contracts, integration patterns, error handling, and non-functional requirements. Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance Web Applications, Internal Applications, Business Applications, Internal Tools, and Automation solutions. Develop and maintain integrations across ERP, POS, online ordering, warehouse, delivery, Microsoft 365, and third-party systems using REST APIs and other appropriate integration mechanisms. Develop and maintain Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Extensions and related integrations, including AL where applicable. Design and manage databases and complex SQL queries, including joins, validation, reconciliation, data integrity, transaction handling, and cross-system data analysis. Design and control data flows, import / export, and data transformation processes, including validation and reconciliation controls before and after data movement. Troubleshoot application and production issues, analyze logs and traces, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive solutions. Assess integration risks, dependencies, failure scenarios, and single points of failure, and implement appropriate preventive, recovery, and resilience measures. Perform unit, integration, system, and UAT support activities and validate both functional and non-functional requirements before production deployment. Deploy and support production applications and relevant Linux-based services within scope, following appropriate change control and rollback / recovery practices. Improve system performance, security, reliability, availability, observability, and scalability based on business and technical requirements. Maintain and enhance legacy / existing systems while assessing cross-system and integration impacts before changes are implemented. Prepare practical and maintainable technical documentation, including solution architecture, system flow, ER diagrams, data mapping, API specifications, integration specifications, runbooks, and UAT evidence. Own assigned solutions and deliverables end-to-end, including prioritization, technical planning, dependency management, risk identification, and delivery. Coordinate with external vendors on technical requirements, solution / design review, quality, delivery, acceptance, and production readiness. Identify blockers, dependencies, and risks early; communicate facts transparently and propose actionable options, trade-offs, and mitigation plans. Use AI tools as part of the software engineering workflow for analysis, prompting, generation, review, testing, debugging, refactoring, and integration, while taking full responsibility for the correctness, security, and quality of all AI-assisted outputs. Provide technical support and resolve production issues affecting users or business operations, with clear communication of impact, status, root cause, and resolution. Keep up to date with software engineering, cloud, integration, automation, DevOps, and AI technologies and evaluate their practical application to improve IT capability. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications & Experience : Hands-on experience supporting or designing production systems with multiple integrations, such as ERP, POS, accounting, warehouse, online ordering, or similar enterprise systems. Direct experience working with business users to analyze requirements / business processes and explain technical solutions, trade-offs, and impacts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience owning solutions or deliverables across requirements, analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and support, or demonstrated ability to own solutions end-to-end. Experience designing or supporting APIs, integrations, data flows, and cross-system dependencies. Experience coordinating with external vendors, including technical requirement clarification, review, follow-up, quality assessment, and acceptance. Experience resolving production issues with real impact on users or business operations, including root-cause analysis and preventive / corrective actions. Practical experience using AI tools in software engineering and the ability to review, test, validate, and take responsibility for AI-generated outputs before production use. Technical Skills: System Analysis & Solution Design — able to analyze requirements, business processes, system flows, architecture, technical constraints, and trade-offs. System Integration / REST API — practical understanding of API design, authentication / authorization, data mapping, error handling, retry, timeout, idempotency, and integration flows. SQL / Database — good to advanced level; complex joins, validation, reconciliation, data integrity, transactions, and cross-system analysis. Cloud / Infrastructure — practical understanding of cloud compute, storage, networking, identity / access, and infrastructure concepts; able to work effectively with infrastructure teams. Linux / Runtime — command line, log analysis, service / process inspection, and basic production troubleshooting. DevOps / CI/CD / Git — understanding of source control, build / release pipelines, environments, and deployment lifecycle. Security / Reliability — understanding of authentication, authorization, secrets, secure APIs, logging / monitoring, backup / recovery, and availability principles. Developer Fundamentals — solid foundation in programming, data structures, error handling, version control, code reading, code review, and debugging; able to understand and validate AI-generated code. AI-assisted Engineering — practical use of prompting, generation, review, testing, debugging, refactoring, and integration of AI outputs with appropriate human validation. Excel / Data Handling — intermediate level for large-volume data handling, validation, and anomaly detection. Programming Languages Candidates are not expected to be expert in every technology listed below. They should have a solid software engineering foundation and be able to read, assess, review, learn, and apply relevant technologies. AI-assisted development is encouraged, but engineering judgment and accountability remain required. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
