My client is looking for an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize mission-critical database environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database Administration, ensuring database availability, performance, security, and reliability. Exposure to Microsoft SQL Server and/or MySQL is an advantage. Responsibilities Administer, monitor, maintain, and optimize Oracle database environments to ensure high availability, performance, and stability. Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, backup, recovery, and migration activities. Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Implement and maintain database security, user access controls, and compliance requirements. Develop and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents, issues, and system outages. Support application teams with database design reviews, query optimization, and capacity planning. Create and maintain database documentation, operational procedures, and technical standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure upgrades, system implementations, and technology projects. Provide production support and participate in on-call support when required. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline. 8-10 years of experience in Database Administration. Strong hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration. Experience with database installation, configuration, backup and recovery, performance tuning, security management, and troubleshooting. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and/or MySQL is an advantage. Experience supporting mission-critical and high-availability database environments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
