Full Stack Dev

About the role We're the in-house engineering team at Alden Studios. We build the applications the business runs on, as well as the products our customers use. We work as a global team, with this role based full time in our Bangkok office. You'll work directly with a technical lead based in Bangkok with you, so you'll have someone on hand to review your code, unblock you, and make the architectural calls. What you'll be doing • Building and shipping features end to end, from database schema through API to UI • Deploying and running what you build on cloud infrastructure • Working across several projects, some internal tools, some customer-facing, each with its own stack decisions • Reviewing teammates' code and having yours reviewed • Collaborating in writing with colleagues in other time zones What we're looking for • Roughly 3 to 6 years building and shipping production web applications • Strong TypeScript experience • Real experience on both the frontend and the backend, not one with a passing familiarity of the other • Hands-on experience with GCP or AWS. You should be comfortable deploying, debugging and monitoring your own work in the cloud. • Solid SQL and data modelling fundamentals • Fluent written and spoken English. This is not negotiable, as our team spans multiple countries and most collaboration happens in writing. • Self-driven and adaptable. You'll often be the person in your timezone who has to make a call and keep moving rather than wait for an answer. Nice to have • NoSQL experience (document or key-value stores) • Graph database experience (Neo4j or similar), is an added bonus • Experience working across timezones on a distributed team Working here This role is on-site in our Bangkok office five days a week.
