The Sovereign Art Foundation The Make It Better In 2013, The Sovereign Art Foundation (SAF) launched the Make It Better project (MIB), an initiative for children in Hong Kong who have underprivileged backgrounds or with different educational needs. MIB offers an annual programme of workshops to the children of families affiliated with experienced partner schools and local community organisations. The workshops offer empowering activities reinforced by expressive arts to facilitate children self-awareness and confidence, help them build respect for themselves and others, develop stronger focus and engage with the wider community. With years of development and new funding, our programme has been extended to wider population. This is an exciting opportunity to use your skills, energy, and experience to make a difference to the people with different learning needs and from an underprivileged background. The positions offer opportunities for successful candidates to work with one of our projects targeting children beneficiaries using Mindfulness Arts Based Intervention. About the role We are seeking a passionate and organised Programme Coordinator to support the delivery of one of our projects targeting children beneficiaries using Mindfulness Arts Based Intervention. This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside arts therapists and community partners while contributing to impactful therapeutic and psychoeducational initiatives. Key responsibilities Support the management and implementation of year-round expressive arts and mental health programme. Provide on-site support for therapy groups and workshops. Coordinate programme logistics, including scheduling, venue arrangements, materials procurement, and participant communications. Liaise with arts therapists, schools, community partners, interns, and volunteers to ensure smooth programme delivery. Assist with programme evaluation, impact measurement, data collection, and reporting. Coordinate the development and production of psychoeducational resources and publications. Maintain accurate programme documentation and records. Undertake other duties as assigned to support the Foundation's mission and programme development. About you Master's degree in Special Education, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related discipline. Current students in Expressive Arts Therapy or Art Therapy programmes are welcome to apply. Preferably with at least 2 years of relevant experience in the NGO, education, social service, or related sectors. Proficient in Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat, MS Outlook, and Chinese word processing. Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills. Proactive, adaptable, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment. A creative and resourceful mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Successful completion of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) is required.
