Surveyor / Scope - Construction & Underground Services

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE / ROSTER Due to the specialist nature of the work, we’re specifically looking for candidates with surveying experience across cable ploughing & ripper dozers 10/4 roster (10 days on, 4 days off) travel work. Role Objective To collect accurate and reliable field data before, during, and after construction works, ensuring underground infrastructure projects are safely planned, delivered, and accurately recorded. Seeking an experienced Surveyor / Scope Officer to conduct site inspections, capture GPS survey data, identify underground services, and support construction, directional drilling, ploughing, and underground infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Conduct site inspections and pre-construction surveys. Locate and document underground and above-ground services. Capture accurate GPS/GNSS survey data and coordinates. Assess routes, identify hazards, obstacles, and service clashes. Collect field data, photographs. Maintain accurate records and ensure timely reporting. Adhere to WHS, environmental, and quality requirements. Essential Skills & Experience Experience in construction, civil, utilities, telecommunications, or underground infrastructure. Knowledge of underground service locating and construction practices. Experience with GPS/GNSS surveying equipment. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings. Strong attention to detail and data accuracy. Competent using tablets and digital data collection systems. Current driver's licence. Strong commitment to safety and quality. Desirable Surveying, civil construction. Experience with RTK GPS, CAD, GIS, or mapping software. Telecommunications, electrical, gas, or water utility experience.
