The Opportunity With a growing diverse portfolio of quality animal products Dechra Veterinary Products (Australia) is seeking an experienced and passionate Technical Services Veterinarian. This position will primarily provide technical support to internal and external customers on Dechra’s range of products (mainly Companion Animal, but also Equine and other products as necessary) by working closely with the Sales, Marketing and Customer Service teams. This is a full-time position, although part-time applications will be considered. The role offers a flexible hybrid working model, with time spent in the office, working from home, and on the road. The Challenge So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate’s key responsibilities will include: Providing high‑quality technical customer service Acting as the central Pharmacovigilance contact Delivering technical training and education to customers Supporting the Sales team with in‑field training and product expertise Providing technical review and compliance support to Marketing Delivering technical support during conferences About You We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experiences. You’ll ideally bring: A degree in Veterinary Science and eligibility for registration in Australia 2+ years’ experience as a Technical Veterinarian (preferred) Clinical experience in companion animal, equine and/or large animal practice OR corporate experience in Technical Services, Marketing or Product Development Strong ability to interpret scientific and medical information Excellent technical writing, communication and presentation skills Strong planning, organisation and relationship‑building skills Customer‑focused approach with strong negotiation skills Analytical, data‑driven problem‑solving capability Knowledge of the animal health industry (desirable) Unrestricted working rights in Australia What we offer our employees Competitive remuneration (based on experience) Annual incentive scheme Employee Assistance Program Well‑being and product benefits Hybrid working environment 9‑day fortnight About Your Application All applications received are reviewed by our internal talent acquisition team and we will get in touch if your skills and experience match what we’re looking for.
