Production Manager

Key Responsibilities: Production & Capacity Management Lead production planning and execution across multiple manufacturing facilities. Monitor production schedules, capacity utilization, and order fulfillment to ensure on-time delivery. Coordinate closely with Sales & Merchandising, QA/QC, and Factory Management teams to achieve production targets. Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and operational issues. Manufacturing Operations Oversee the complete sweater manufacturing process and shipment readiness. Ensure effective utilization of manpower, machinery, and resources. Drive productivity improvements and operational efficiencies across all factories. Quality & Delivery Management Ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards. Work with QA/QC teams to reduce defects and implement corrective actions. Monitor factory performance to ensure timely shipment and customer satisfaction. Cost Control & Continuous Improvement Analyze production costs, efficiency, and wastage. Implement Lean Manufacturing and productivity improvement initiatives. Drive continuous improvement programs to enhance operational performance and profitability. Factory & Vendor Management Build strong working relationships with factory management teams and key stakeholders. Conduct regular factory visits to monitor production status and provide operational support. Evaluate factory performance on quality, delivery, and productivity metrics. Requirements: Qualifications Degree in Textile Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Supply Chain Management, or related discipline. Experience Minimum 10 years of experience in sweater/knitwear manufacturing. At least 5 years in a managerial role overseeing production operations. Proven experience managing or working closely with manufacturing facilities in China, Bangladesh, and/or Cambodia. Solid understanding of sweater production processes and knitwear technology. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of: Flat knitting machines (Stoll, Shima Seiki, etc.) Yarn and knitwear production processes Production planning and capacity management Industrial Engineering (IE) Lean Manufacturing Quality assurance and garment production standards Familiarity with ERP and production management systems. Personal Attributes Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Highly organized, proactive, and results-oriented. Able to work effectively in a fast-paced and multicultural environment. Willing to travel frequently to China and overseas production facilities. Language & Computer Skills Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua). Proficiency in MS Office applications and Chinese word processing.
