Role overview This role is responsible for safeguarding personnel, infrastructure, and critical assets while ensuring compliance with corporate security standards and industry best practices. The successful candidate will oversee security personnel, manage access control processes, monitor surveillance systems, coordinate incident response activities, and maintain a highly secure operating environment. Key Responsibilities Supervise day-to-day physical security operations within the data center. Manage access control systems, including badge administration, biometrics, access levels, and visitor management processes. Oversee CCTV and video management systems (VMS), ensuring effective monitoring, retention, and investigation support. Enforce security procedures related to restricted areas, mantraps, guide processes, and asset protection. Monitor and respond to security alarms, incidents, and emergencies, coordinating with relevant internal teams. Conduct incident investigations, maintain evidence records, and prepare detailed security reports. Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and applicable industry standards. Lead and develop security personnel, promoting operational excellence and continuous improvement. Perform security audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions. Support business continuity and emergency response activities as required. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Information Security, Facilities Management, Industrial Management, or a related discipline preferred. Candidates with equivalent qualifications and significant relevant experience will also be considered. Experience & Knowledge Strong knowledge of data center physical security principles and controls. Experience managing access control systems, biometric technologies, and visitor management processes. Hands-on experience with CCTV, video surveillance platforms, and security monitoring tools. Familiarity with perimeter protection systems, intrusion detection technologies, and physical security infrastructure. Understanding of security investigations, evidence handling, and incident management practices. Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 27001, TIA-942, and data center security best practices. Preferred Certifications PSP (Physical Security Professional) PCI (Professional Certified Investigator) ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor TIA-942 or Uptime Institute security-related training Key Skills Leadership and team management Critical thinking and problem-solving Incident response and investigation Security operations management Excellent communication and reporting skills Attention to detail and risk awareness Proficiency in Microsoft Office and security management systems
