The Pastor, Missions & Church Planting, shall provide leadership to execute and implement a strong apostolic blueprint that will extend our missional and church planting works into the Asean region and globally. A key part of the strategy is in establishing our “mobile” Church Planting School, which is conducted in selected mission fields to equip and develop men and women with a calling towards church planting. We seek to journey with suitable church planters to establish new churches, providing mentoring, encouragement and structured support for an appropriate period of time. This role shall balance missional outreach with a specialized teaching mandate. The incumbent shall regularly preach and teach, to ignite a passion for discipleship and the Great Commission across the entire church network. At the home base, the role will share the pastoral duties of preaching, teaching and caring with the other pastors. Will lead efforts to mobilise and inspire our congregations for missions, particularly through purposeful and well-prepared short term trips. Key responsibilities Lead and develop FGA's missions and church planting strategy in the ASEAN and other regions. Oversee the development and operations of the mobile Church Planting Schools. Identify, develop and journey with emerging church planters. Disciple and support church planters and new church plants over an appropriate pioneering period. Conduct regular field visits and build trusted relationships with national leaders and ministry partners. Ensure the Church as a whole lives out missions and church planting services as part of its apostolic DNA. Mobilise and equip members of congregations for short-term mission trips. Preach, teach and develop leaders and volunteers within the Church on spiritual formation, discipleship and the essence of missions. Provide effective planning, stewardship and reporting for the Church's missions and church planting ministry. Qualifications & Experience ● Spiritual Vitality & Conviction : Has a deep and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a strong biblical understanding of God’s Commission. Demonstrates a vibrant, Spirit-filled life, operational familiarity with the gifts of the Spirit, and a firm conviction in modern apostolic church-planting paradigms. Carry a genuine passion for missions, church planting and developing Christian leaders. ● Proven Ministry Experience: A minimum of 5-7+ years of pastoral ministry experience, with a proven, successful track record in planting a church or actively directing a church-planting network. Is a strategic thinker who can also translate ministry vision into practical plans and action. ● Theological Framework: Sound theological training (M.Div., B.A. in Ministry/Theology, or equivalent practical ministry school credentials) and in alignment with the church doctrine and apostolic governance structures. ● Preaching & Teaching Excellence : Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to preach biblically, teach systematically, and move a congregation toward active discipleship. ● Relational & Collaborative Leadership: A natural networker who can manage complex relationships and cultivate trusted ministry partnerships , across home networks and diverse, cross-cultural mission fields. ● Mobility : This is a ministry leadership position requiring regular overseas travel, in particular the ASEAN region. Will require flexibility in working hours and engagement with ministry partners in diverse cultural and ministry environments.
