Parts Manager – AFT Workshop Ltd Join a growing, well-established workshop where your organisation and initiative will play an integral role in keeping our team moving. AFT Workshop Ltd is looking for an organised, motivated and reliable Parts Manager to join our team based at our large, modern workshop in Gisborne. This is a key role within the workshop, responsible for ensuring our mechanics and technicians have the right parts, at the right time, to keep our fleet operating efficiently. If you're someone who enjoys organisation, problem solving and working in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you. About Us AFT Workshop services and maintains AFT Contracting's extensive fleet of logging trucks, bulk trucks, transporters, heavy machinery and equipment, supporting our forestry, civil and farm earthworks, transport and harvesting operations across the Gisborne region. You'll be joining a well-established team of 13 skilled professionals, including engineers, diesel mechanics, an auto electrician, hydraulic hose technicians, tyre fitters, a panel beater/painter, service administration and apprentices. About the Role As our Parts Manager, you'll play a vital role in keeping the workshop running smoothly by managing all aspects of parts procurement and inventory. Your responsibilities will include: • Ordering and sourcing parts • Managing stock levels and inventory • Receiving, organising and distributing incoming freight • Creating purchase orders and reconciling supplier invoices • Working closely with workshop staff to ensure parts are available when required • Maintaining accurate inventory records and supplier relationships What We're Looking For The ideal applicant will have: • Previous experience in a Parts Manager, Parts Interpreter or similar role • Excellent organisational and time management skills • Strong communication skills • Good computer skills (experience with SAM Workshop Software would be an advantage) • The ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines • A positive attitude and pride in producing quality work • A current full New Zealand driver's licence What We Offer • Competitive hourly rates based on experience • Stable, long-term employment • Immediate start available • A large, modern workshop and office environment • A supportive, close-knit team culture • Ongoing opportunities to develop your skills and grow with the business Hours Monday to Friday | 6:30am – 5:00pm Applicants Must • Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test • Provide phone references • Hold New Zealand residency or a valid New Zealand work visa (please no overseas applicants) If you're looking for a long-term opportunity with a company that values its people and continues to invest in its business, we'd love to hear from you.
