Our future success depends on the diverse talent and performance of dedicated employees. We now call for applications to fill this position which is under the Football Events - Referees in the organization structure of HKFA. Reporting to the Referees Manager, the appointee will be responsible for conducting daily training programs, developing junior referees, managing community programs, facilitating communication with the public, and accepting appointments as a referee for international matches. Job Descriptions Referees Development/Educational Projects Provide the Referees Team vision to develop Referees, including motivating the referees & referee instructors to perform, listening to people, providing feedback, recognizing strengths and providing challenges. Supervise the Administration of all referee seminars, practical training and referees’ appointments. Supervise and Manage in the creation of teaching materials. Produce detailed documented syllabus for all levels of refereeing development for referees and referee instructors and assessors with the collaboration of Referees Manager and Referee Subcommittee. Supervise and Manage in the implementation of HKFA projects in order to accomplish the goal to produce future HKFA Referees, Referee Assessors and Referee Instructors. Provide feedback to the Referees on strengths and other further developments required after each course. Manage all referees’ data and statistics in the preparation of Referees’ Development System within HKFA with the Referees Manager and Referees Coordinators Team management tasks To be experienced in providing them with direction and vision, including motivating the Referees Coordinators to perform, listening to people, providing feedback, recognizing strengths and providing challenges. Responsible for bringing the project to a close, which may include creating monthly project report or evaluation documents, and activities, and capturing and using relevant lessons learned. Identify the need for resources and should subsequently take on team management responsibilities in relation to the resources available to the project. To coordinate Referee Committee Members and preparation for Referee Committee Meetings. To coordinate colleagues in the preparation of the Departmental Meetings. To liaise with the Referee Sponsor. Organizing tasks Required to generate several types of documents, including requirement specifications, schedules, personnel records, project reports, communication (email) records, design specifications and status reports. In consultation with the Referees Manager, required to create a structure for project program and remain conscientious in using it and ensuring that the participants understand and use it. To provide Feedback on Strengths and other further developments needed to the Referees after each Developmental Course. Observation and Assessment of Men & Women Referees Performance and Referees Assessor Report Observe and assess Referee Assessors’ performance from their report in HKFA Competitions. Report to the Referees Manager on strategy for improvement of Men & Women Referees and Referee Assessors. Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Experience Degree holder with experience in sports management and administration. Excellent analytical and organizational skills, including the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and manage multiple projects Good command of the English and Chinese languages Must be detail-oriented and have ability to multi-task Exhibit good time management skills Proficient knowledge of office administration and team management Exchange non-routine information using tact and persuasion as appropriate requiring good oral and written communication skills Demonstrate good computer skills including the ability to operate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) at a highly proficient level Required to work overtime and irregular hours including full-day work on weekends and public holidays during certain periods. The successful candidate will be offered on a contract term employment. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
