Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization: A key player in Global Sourcing in driving Sourcing’s vision to be the Most Agile, Most Competitive, Most Digitalized & Cleanest Supply Base in the industry. Develop strategy, oversee and maintain the technical oversight and integrity of the implementation of the adidas’ environmental program and materials compliance for all tiers of our global supply chain, from raw materials to the manufactured product. Represent adidas in cross-industry collaborations, and in high-level government advisory committees and working groups, globally. Key Responsibilities: Formulate strategies, develop and implement plans to effectively deliver environmental management systems and practices across all tiers in global supply chain, from end to end with due consideration to industry developments and initiatives. Lead the development of environmental and resource management strategies and sustainable manufacturing programs, in relation to global supply chains and product development, engaging closely with relevant sustainability and business experts in adidas’ headquarters, within the brands and product development Engage with internal and external stakeholders globally to integrate and align program requirements, including environmental and resource management strategies, into the larger business practices of the company. Build and maintain industry partnerships and represent adidas’ in industry collaborations and high-level government advisory committees. Advise Global Sourcing leaders on the delivery of the environmental program across the global supply chain and together with Social & Environmental Affairs’ Environmental Assurance team, develop joint strategies to address regulatory and other environmental risks identified in the supply chain. Build a network of technical experts in environment across Sourcing and define training needs for internal teams and suppliers aimed at achieving adidas’ corporate sustainability strategy and environmental program requirements. Ensure all sourcing operations and practices fully comply with adidas’ Responsible Sourcing & Purchasing Policy, adidas standards and legal requirements, while managing the relevant processes internally and externally. Role model leadership to foster a culture of Diversity Equity & Inclusion that strives for an inclusive workplace. Develop and coach team to ensure the best standards of performance, appropriate skillsets and strong succession plans are in place. Key Relationships: Global Sourcing and Product Development functions Sustainability & ESG HQ Team Global Legal: Global Social & Environmental Affairs Corporate Communication External stakeholders: other brand representatives, government bodies, industry associations and international Institutions dealing with environmental sustainability Knowledge Skills and Abilities : Strong business acumen and understanding of current & trends of global environmental sustainability topics Well versed with manufacturing operations, product development as well as supply chain issues and environmental sustainability Strong influencing and communication skills Strong ability in leading multidimensional teams Fluent in English (written and spoken) Strong Microsoft office skills Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: Ideally product development, sourcing operations relevant experience.
