About the Role – Mō te Tūranga In this full-time position, you’ll be part of the team responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and grounds work of the village and The Pavilion. This role is 40 hours per week from Monday-Friday with a paid after hours on call roster element. Your work will include general repairs, upkeep of communal areas, and ensuring all facilities and equipment are safe and in good working order, as well as helping maintain beautiful gardens and outdoor spaces across the village, ensuring everything looks its best as the seasons change. From mowing lawns and trimming hedges to general grounds maintenance, you’ll help keep our resort-style environment vibrant and welcoming. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same—your practical skills will help keep the village running efficiently and looking its best. You’ll take pride in a job well done and enjoy working as part of a friendly, resident-focused team. About You – Ngā Kōrero Mōu The successful candidate will be a highly capable team player with the following attributes: Good time management and organisational skills Has attention to detail and a commitment to high standards Physically fit and able to manage hands-on tasks Proven maintenance experience (carpentry background advantageous) Excellent communication and customer service skills Administration and computer skills an advantage Professional, discreet, and reliable Enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in presentation Brings experience in gardening or groundskeeping Can operate and maintain machinery (e.g., ride-on mower) Is discreet, diplomatic, and a reliable team player Experience with compliance of buildings and services would be advantageous Holds a current, clean driver’s licence Most importantly, alignment with our core values – Ō Tātou Uara: vision, optimism, respect, equality, and honesty – and the ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultures Applicants must hold NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
