About the role We are seeking a Fresh Produce Procurement Specialist to join Hong Kong Qdama Fresh Foods Chain Store Co., Limited on a full-time basis. This is a strategic role responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing fresh produce across our chain store operations on Hong Kong Island. You will play a vital role in ensuring our stores are stocked with high-quality, fresh products whilst maintaining cost efficiency and supplier relationships. This position reports directly to the Procurement Manager and is essential to our commitment to delivering premium fresh food products to our customers. Key responsibilities Source and procure fresh produce from local and regional suppliers, ensuring consistent quality and competitive pricing Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms that optimise value for the company Monitor market trends and seasonal availability of fresh produce to inform purchasing decisions Conduct regular quality inspections of incoming produce to ensure compliance with company standards Manage inventory levels and forecast demand across all chain store locations on Hong Kong Island Coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure timely receipt of stock Analyse procurement data and costs to identify opportunities for savings and operational improvements Liaise with store managers and operations teams to understand product requirements and customer demands Maintain detailed records of supplier performance, pricing, and product specifications Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards throughout the procurement process What we're looking for Proven experience in fresh produce procurement or purchasing within a retail or food distribution environment Strong knowledge of fresh produce, including seasonal variations, quality grading, and storage requirements Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and manage supplier relationships Proficiency in procurement systems and data analysis tools Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple suppliers and orders simultaneously Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in Hong Kong Strong communication skills in both English and Cantonese (Mandarin is advantageous) Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred Certification in supply chain management or procurement is a plus Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing market conditions About us Hong Kong Qdama Fresh Foods Chain Store Co., Limited is a leading fresh food retailer dedicated to bringing quality, fresh, and nutritious products to Hong Kong customers.
