Fabricator/Welder

We’re looking for a skilled Welder / Fabricator to join Fusion Engineering & Fabrication Ltd, a fast-growing Christchurch engineering company. We specialise in general engineering, fabrication, and onsite mechanical maintenance for clients mainly in the food manufacturing industry. The Role You’ll be hands-on in the workshop and onsite, fabricating and welding a wide variety of projects. Work ranges from stainless and mild steel fabrication through to machinery installation and site maintenance. Some projects may be overseas, so flexibility to travel is essential. Key responsibilities: Fabricating and welding with Stainless Steel, Mild Steel and Aluminum. Performing hygienic welding to a high standard (experience preferred). Reading and working from drawings. General engineering and mechanical maintenance tasks. Onsite fabrication and installation work, including overseas projects. Maintaining safe work practices at all times. What You’ll Bring Trade qualification in engineering/fabrication (or equivalent experience). Proven ability in stainless steel welding and fabrication (TIG/MIG/ARC). Hygienic welding experience highly regarded. Ability to work independently and take ownership of jobs. Practical, solutions-focused approach on site. Current driver’s licence.
