About the role At 3forge, we're building the next generation of application infrastructure for financial services, helping institutions turn complex data and workflows into performant production applications. As a Solutions Engineer, you'll work at the intersection of software engineering, data, and client delivery. You'll help build and deploy applications for real-world financial use cases, work directly with client teams, and solve technical problems across development, integration, performance, and production environments. This is a hands-on engineering role. You'll write code, work with data, troubleshoot systems, and collaborate closely with experienced Solutions Engineers, software engineers, and project managers. You'll also have the opportunity to work with sophisticated financial applications and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled workflows. What you'll do Solution Engineering • Build technical solutions for real-world financial use cases. • Work with engineers and product teams to identify reusable patterns and improve the platform. • Work with SQL, APIs, databases, and programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C++. • Integrate applications with client data sources and existing technology environments. • Diagnose application and performance issues using logs, stack traces, and other debugging tools. • Test, deploy, and maintain applications across different environments. • Contribute to AI-enabled and data-driven application workflows as the technology evolves. Client Delivery • Work with clients to understand technical requirements and translate them into practical solutions. • Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues through to resolution. • Participate in technical discussions, demonstrations, and solution development with client teams. • Document operational requirements, implementation details, and processes. • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Team & Development • Work closely with Solutions Engineers, software engineers, and project managers to deliver successful projects. • Learn how complex financial applications are designed, deployed, and operated in production environments. • Take increasing ownership of technical tasks and project deliverables. • Contribute reusable solutions, documentation, and technical knowledge to the broader team. What we're looking for • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. • Experience with SQL and at least one programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C++. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to read and diagnose log files and interpret stack traces. • Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies and systems quickly. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • A proactive approach to solving problems and taking ownership of work. • Interest in working directly with clients and understanding their technical and business needs. Nice to have • 1+ years of experience through internships, projects, research, or professional software/data engineering work. • Experience building software, data applications, dashboards, or automation. • Strong mathematical or statistical skills. • Familiarity with APIs, databases, cloud environments, or distributed systems. • Exposure to financial markets, trading, risk, portfolio management, or other financial workflows. • Experience with AI, machine learning, or LLM-based applications. • Technical writing or documentation experience. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
