Job Summary We are seeking a Cloud & Data Solution Engineer specializing in Data Engineering to design, build, secure, and optimize modern data platforms on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions, analytics platforms, and cloud-native data services that support enterprise reporting, AI, and digital transformation initiatives. Roles and Responsibilities: Design, develop, and support modern data platforms using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric. Build and maintain data integration, ETL/ELT, and data transformation pipelines. Develop Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and analytics solutions to support reporting and decision-making. Create and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models. Collaborate with customers, business users, and project teams to gather requirements and deliver effective data solutions. Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices. Troubleshoot and optimize data platform performance, scalability, and reliability. Support deployment automation and DevOps practices for cloud and data solutions. Stay up to date with emerging Microsoft Data, Analytics, and AI technologies. We are looking for: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Candidates with a Higher Diploma and relevant hands-on experience will also be considered. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience designing and implementing Data & Analytics solutions using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric technologies. Experience with Microsoft Data & Analytics technologies, including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Power BI. Strong understanding of data integration, ETL/ELT development, data modeling, data warehousing, and Lakehouse architecture. Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with Python or other scripting languages. Knowledge of Azure data services, cloud security, Microsoft Entra ID, and data governance best practices. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin is an advantage). Advantages Experience with Microsoft Purview, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Experience in consulting, system integration, or enterprise digital transformation projects. Exposure to AI, Microsoft Copilot, or advanced analytics solutions. Microsoft certifications such as DP-600, DP-203, AZ-104, or AZ-305. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
