Account Executive

We are seeking an Account Executive to manage full sets of accounts for construction and property development projects, including progress billings, financial reporting and compliance. Job Responsibilities 1. Financial Operations & Project Accounting Manage full sets of accounts for construction and property development projects, ensuring accurate and timely entries for general ledgers, accounts receivable and accounts payable. Handle project-specific billing, progress billings, retention sums, subcontractor claims and payment certifications. Perform regular account reconciliations including bank reconciliations, debtor aging analysis and creditor statement tracking. 2. Reporting, Budgeting & Compliance Prepare monthly financial statements, project cash flow forecasts and variance analysis against project budgets. Ensure full compliance with statutory accounting standards and tax regulations and coordinate smoothly with internal and external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretarial parties. 3. Administrative & Stakeholder Coordination Liaise with consultants, contractors, suppliers, bankers and joint-venture partners regarding financial documentation, billing discrepancies, and payments. Maintain proper financial filing systems, secure document databases and handle ad-hoc administrative or corporate tasks assigned by management. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW, CPA). Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; candidates with relevant working experience in the construction, property development or contracting industry will have an added advantage. Good knowledge of computerised accounting systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (particularly Microsoft Excel). Strong numerical accuracy, close attention to detail and sound analytical and organisational capabilities. Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage tight reporting deadlines and work collaboratively across departments.
