About the role This role focuses on fraud investigation, field investigation, merchant investigation, interviewing, and root cause analysis. It is NOT a transaction monitoring or fraud alert monitoring position. You will play a key role in investigating fraud cases, conducting field investigations, and working closely with law enforcement agencies, financial institutions, and internal stakeholders to minimize fraud risks. Key responsibilities Conduct comprehensive investigations on issuing and merchant acquiring fraud cases. Investigate suspicious applications and provide findings within the required Service Level Agreement (SLA). Perform desk investigations and field/site visits to suspicious or high-risk merchants. Interview customers, merchants, and employees as part of fraud investigations. Prepare investigation reports with findings, recommendations, and preventive measures. Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, financial institutions, and telecommunications providers during investigations. Identify fraud trends, process gaps, and recommend improvements to reduce fraud risks. Deliver fraud awareness training to internal stakeholders and merchant partners. Participate in joint investigations, industry meetings, and court proceedings when required. Review and update operational procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory and card scheme requirements. About you Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in any relevant discipline. Minimum 3 years of experience in fraud investigation, financial crime investigation, or merchant investigation. Experience conducting interviews, investigations, evidence gathering, and report writing. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills. Comfortable conducting field investigations and site visits when required. Able to work independently and manage multiple investigation cases. Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
