We have a Vacancy within our Greenkeeping Department as a Junior Greenkeeper. This is a Fixed Term, Full-time position with early morning starts and a full clean driver's license and reliable transport is essential. The roster is set as Tuesday - Saturday, 45 hours per week, with the Fixed Term being September 2026- April 2027 About the Role: The ideal candidate is to work alongside the Greenkeeping team and assist the Gardening team in maintaining effective irrigation across the Movie Set, Green Dragon Inn, The Shire's Rest, and Turf Farms. Duties include carrying out the day-to-day care and maintenance of lawns and turf areas, including mowing, weed eating, backpack blowing, turf laying, fertilising, watering, and other grounds maintenance activities to ensure presentation standards are consistently achieved. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work with dangerous substances in a safe manner, design and problem solve. Key Responsibilities: Perform lawn mowing, weed eating, and backpack blowing Monitor the soil moisture and perform watering duties on the Movie Set, Green Dragon and The Shire's Rest by following a working schedule, using a variety of watering equipment (nozzles, watering gun & sprinklers) to maximise the longevity of the turf and gardens. This includes using a rope system when areas aren't in use while maintaining the visitor experience Support the fertilisation, irrigation, and upkeep of turf and lawns. Help control pests, diseases, and weeds to maintain turf health. Water grass and lawns as required. Assist with managing re-turfed areas. Contribute to grass renovation projects.
