About the role Hong Leong Bank Berhad is seeking a talented Wealth Planning Specialist, Bancassurance to join our dynamic team in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering comprehensive wealth planning and insurance solutions to our valued priority and private banking clients . As a Wealth Planning Specialist in the Regional Wealth Management business, you will be at the forefront of our bancassurance offerings, combining banking expertise with insurance solutions to help clients achieve their financial goals. This role is essential to our strategic objective of providing integrated financial services and building long-term client relationships in the Sabah region. What you'll be doing Assessing high net worth clients' financial situations, objectives and risk profiles to develop tailored wealth planning and insurance solutions Presenting and recommending appropriate bancassurance products, including life insurance, investment-linked policies and protection plans, aligned with priority and private client needs Building and maintaining strong client relationships through regular follow-ups and providing exceptional service throughout the customer journey Collaborating with Priority Banking Relationship Managers to ensure seamless delivery of integrated financial solutions Achieving sales targets and performance metrics whilst maintaining high standards of client satisfaction Educating clients about the benefits of wealth planning and insurance protection as part of a comprehensive financial strategy Documenting client interactions, transactions and product recommendations accurately in compliance with regulatory requirements Staying informed about product features, market trends and regulatory changes relevant to bancassurance offerings Supporting the development and implementation of bancassurance initiatives and campaigns in the Kota Kinabalu market What we're looking for Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field Proven experience and track record in wealth planning, financial advisory or bancassurance, preferably within a banking or insurance environment Strong knowledge of financial products, insurance solutions and wealth management principles Valid insurance and investment-linked product licensing qualifications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly to clients Strong sales acumen combined with a genuine commitment to putting client needs first Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple client relationships simultaneously Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and comfortable with learning new banking software systems Fluency in English and Malay; knowledge of local languages in Sabah would be advantageous Customer-focused mindset with a track record of building lasting client relationships Attention to detail and strong organisational skills to manage regulatory compliance and documentation requirements What we offer At Hong Leong Bank Berhad, we are committed to supporting the growth and wellbeing of our employees.
