CMT Laboratory Technician

Hawk Geo Pty Ltd is a Leading geotechnical and construction materials testing company servicing the Sydney, Central Coast and Hunter regions. We are currently looking for a reliable and motivated Casual Laboratory Technician to join our team at our Boolaroo laboratory. No previous experience is required. Full training will be provided. This is a casual position, with the opportunity for a full-time traineeship for the right candidate. About the Role You will be trained to carry out a range of geotechnical and construction materials laboratory testing. Your day-to-day duties will include: Preparing and testing soil and construction material samples General laboratory duties Recording and entering test results Maintaining a clean and organised work area Assisting other laboratory staff as required As your skills and experience develop, you may also have the opportunity to gain exposure to: Field density testing Construction site testing and sampling Soil and materials sampling This is a hands-on and physically active role that would suit someone who enjoys practical work and wants to learn new skills. What We’re Looking For To be successful, you will need: A current Australian driver's licence Reliable transport to and from our Boolaroo laboratory Availability to work Monday to Friday between 7:00am and 5:00pm The ability to repetitively lift up to 20 to 30 kg A practical and logical approach to problem solving Basic computer skills A strong work ethic Good communication skills The ability to work well in a team Reliability and punctuality Previous experience in geotechnical testing, laboratories, construction or a similar industry is an advantage, but not essential .
