Waikato Project Manager

The Role Topcoat Specialist Coatings Limited are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Hamilton. This role will lead the delivery of assigned projects to ensure project coordination, programming, resource management, and project tracking are executed to the highest standard. Travel and weekend work may be required to fulfil this role. Work will predominately be in the Waikato/BOP regions. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage and monitor projects according to scope, timeline, budget and quality standards Oversee all health, safety, quality, and environmental processes and documentation ensuring they are up to date and actively followed Use company systems effectively to tracking hours, materials, on site logistics and variations Proactively manage communication and relationships with all stakeholders Encourage a strong team culture valuing respect, collaboration, and responsibility Keep up to date with new products and technical knowledge, and attend applicable training Train and upskill a team of applicators on products and application methods Work closely with internal team to review and record project feedback contributing to continuous improvements Key Experience, Skills, Attributes Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction or specialist coatings industry, ideally managing multiple projects concurrently Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, and project management tools (Understanding of the building code an advantage) Demonstrated leadership and team management experience, with the ability to motivate and supervise staff and subcontractors Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to manage client relationships and stakeholder expectations Health & Safety focused with a commitment to maintaining safe work practices on site Relevant qualifications or certifications in Project Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent professional qualification Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail with excellent organisational skills To lead from the front you may be needed on the tools when the team needs a hand, you will be physically fit Remuneration & Benefits Use of company vehicle - valid driver's licence required Away/Meal allowances (when applicable) Weekend work special rates (when applicable) Great team environment and culture Ongoing Training and Development Company benefits and initiatives About us Topcoat Specialist Coatings is a leader in the application of specialist coatings - including epoxy floor coatings, resin toppings, waterproofing systems, intumescent coatings and concrete repairs.
