Smith & Co – Labour Hire & Recruitment Specialists About the Position Smith & Co is recruiting experienced Excavator Operators for a variety of civil construction projects throughout Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast. We work with Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 contractors delivering subdivisions, road infrastructure, bulk earthworks and major land development projects across South East Queensland. With several active projects and more work commencing, there are opportunities available for operators across different levels of experience. You'll have access to modern machinery, including GPS-equipped excavators, along with consistent site hours, overtime and the potential for ongoing employment. What's in it for you $46–$50 per hour + penalties + overtime opportunities Multiple positions available for immediate commencement Consistent work across Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast Variety of subdivision, infrastructure and bulk earthworks projects Monday–Friday roster with additional overtime available Long-term opportunities with reputable civil contractors Access to a broad range of clients, projects and machinery to suit different operating experience Key Responsibilities Safely operate excavators across active civil construction projects Undertake bulk excavation, trenching, drainage and detailed earthworks Complete excavation works accurately in line with plans and site requirements Coordinate with Supervisors, Operators and ground crews throughout daily operations Perform pre-start inspections and identify any maintenance or equipment concerns Follow site procedures and maintain high safety standards at all times Skills & Experience Previous Excavator Operator experience within civil construction Experience with GPS machine control systems such as Trimble and/or Topcon highly regarded Relevant RII Excavator ticket Current White Card Comfortable working alongside ground crews and other mobile plant Dependable, punctual and ready for an immediate start Strong understanding of safe operating procedures and site requirements How to Apply If you're an experienced Excavator Operator ready for your next project, click Apply Now to connect with Smith & Co and explore current opportunities across Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast.
