About SpexSG: Sport Excellence Singapore (SpexSG), a subsidiary of Sport Singapore, was established on 1 April 2026. SpexSG comprises the High Performance Sport Institute, Singapore Sports School and Unleash the Roar! and is organised to nurture world class Team Singapore athletes who will go on to inspire and unite Singapore. It does so by adopting an athlete centric approach in developing and engendering a high performance ecosystem that supports our athletes with optimal daily training environment, clear development pathways and trustworthy governance systems. SpexSG harnesses the full spectrum of capabilities and capacities of all partners such as NSAs, coaches, parents, educational establishments, corporate supporters, and fans so that our Team Singapore athletes would achieve their highest potential and in so doing rally their fellow Singaporeans to do the same with the same Singapore Spirit. Job responsibilities: Drive the execution of high-performance strategies and plans for specific sports within a designated cluster, translating overarching vision into tangible results. Manage the development and execution of High-Performance Plans and Pathway Development to ensure a strategic and comprehensive approach to athlete progression and medal success. Oversee the management of Athlete Support Programmes to ensure athletes receive tailored and comprehensive support, enhancing their performance and development within the high-performance framework. Enhance the governance and business capability development of NSAs to establish robust organizational structures and processes, thereby fostering the professionalization of NSAs. Requirements: Background in Sports Management, Sports Science or related field. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with athletes, coaches, and other stakeholders, demonstrating empathy and emotional intelligence. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of interpreting complex data, anticipating challenges, and developing effective solutions for performance improvement. Adaptability and resilience in the face of changing circumstances, with the ability to maintain composure and make sound decisions under pressure, particularly in competition environments. Commitment to continuous learning and innovation, staying updated with the latest trends and technologies in high-performance sport management and proposing new ideas to enhance athlete and team performance. Strong ethical foundation with a commitment to integrity and fairness, combined with cultural competence and sensitivity to work effectively with diverse groups. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences and deliver engaging briefings to various stakeholders.
