Business Consultant

Key Responsibilities Engage with clients and business stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges, and operational requirements. Conduct business discovery sessions, requirement workshops, and process assessments to identify business gaps, opportunities, and improvement initiatives. Analyze existing business processes and recommend optimized business workflows and digital transformation strategies. Provide business and solution consulting by aligning client requirements with product capabilities and industry best practices. Prepare and maintain business documentation including Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), business process flows, user stories, solution proposals, and acceptance criteria. Act as the primary liaison between clients, business stakeholders, product owners, QA, and development teams throughout the project lifecycle. Evaluate requirement changes, perform business impact analysis, and recommend practical and scalable solutions. Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Technical Leads to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned with both business and technical objectives. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for payment and fintech solutions, providing consultation across merchant onboarding, payment processing, alternative payment methods, recurring payments, financing, payout, settlement, and reconciliation. Support solution demonstrations, client presentations, implementation planning, UAT activities, and production rollout. Drive stakeholder alignment, solution sign-off, and successful delivery while ensuring high client satisfaction. Stay up to date with payment industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies to continuously improve business solutions. Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, Finance, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Consulting, Business Analysis, Product Consulting, or Solution Consulting. Minimum 3 years of experience within the Payments, Fintech, Banking, or Financial Services industry. Experience managing client-facing projects or consulting engagements is highly preferred. Technical & Domain Knowledge Strong knowledge of the payment gateway ecosystem, transaction lifecycle, and acquiring/payment processing. Good understanding of merchant onboarding, settlement, reconciliation, payout, financing, and alternative payment methods. Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and system implementation processes. Experience preparing FRS, business process documentation, solution proposals, and user stories. Understanding of payment industry standards and regulations (PCI DSS, EMV, ISO 8583, ISO 20022, etc.) is an advantage. Skills & Competencies Strong business consulting and problem-solving skills with the ability to recommend practical and scalable solutions. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging clients, senior management, business users, and technical teams. Strong facilitation, presentation, and workshop management skills. Tools & Technologies Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as ClickUp, Jira, Confluence, , or similar platforms. Experience using business process modeling and documentation tools such as Microsoft Visio, Draw.io, Lucidchart , or equivalent. Experience with API documentation tools such as Postman, Swagger , or similar is an advantage.
