The Company My client is a well-established manufacturing business with operations across New Zealand. They are currently seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their team on a 3-month contract, with the flexibility to work from home up to two days per week. The Role In this role, you will be part of a team of six and report directly to the Financial Controller. Key responsibilities include: Supporting the Accounts Payable team with FX-related functions, working closely with Treasury and the wider Group. Assisting with hedging activities and related processes Supporting the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, including process documentation and continuous improvement Preparing month-end accruals and journals Preparing and assisting with FBT returns Completing balance sheet reconciliations Managing fixed asset accounting, including capitalisation and depreciation Your Profile The ideal candidate will be a hands-on Assistant Accountant with solid experience across core accounting functions. You will have a good understanding of the Purchase-to-Pay process, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams.
