About the role Reporting to the Data and Integrations Manager, this role will assist with a greenfield Data Platform project for the IT Application Engineering team. We're looking for a Data Engineer with AWS data stack experience to join one other Data Engineer on this project, with a mix of technical depth and business perspective. You'll work closely with a broad range of stakeholders across business units, including IT Managers, Operations, Commercial, Marketing and external partners. Key responsibilities Design, build and maintain scalable, high-performing data pipelines and platforms Develop automated data ingestion, transformation and loading processes Optimise pipelines for performance, reliability and cost efficiency Implement monitoring, alerting and lifecycle management for data workflows Contribute to data architecture and modelling aligned with business requirements Ensure compliance with I-MED security policies and governance frameworks Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders Diagnose and resolve data pipeline issues and drive continuous improvement Contribute to shared engineering standards, documentation and reusable components About you Tertiary qualification in a relevant field Experience with the Amazon Web Services (AWS) data stack Proficiency in Python and SQL Strong understanding of data ingestion patterns, modelling and platform architectures Desirable experience working with healthcare data and integration standards (HL7, DICOM) Knowledge of software engineering best practices and DevOps principles Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail Why I-MED?
