The HR Officer is responsible for overseeing employee and labor relations initiatives for the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Team of MTerra Solar . Serving as the primary HR representative on-site, the role plays a key part in maintaining a positive work environment, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies, and fostering productive employee and management relationships. The position works closely with site leadership, employees, and Corporate HR to address employee concerns, manage workplace issues, support organizational effectiveness, and ensure the consistent implementation of HR policies and programs across the site. Key Responsibilities Employee Relations and Labor Relations Serve as the primary HR focal point for employee and labor relations matters across the site. Handle employee concerns, grievances, workplace conflicts, and conduct investigations as necessary. Manage disciplinary processes, including counseling, administrative hearings, corrective actions, and case documentation. Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and applicable employment regulations. Provide guidance and recommendations to managers regarding employee relations and labor concerns. Facilitate conflict resolution and promote positive labor-management relations. Support the resolution of employee issues while maintaining fairness, consistency, and confidentiality. Monitor workplace concerns and recommend appropriate interventions to maintain a productive work environment. Support employee engagement initiatives, welfare programs, and activities that enhance employee morale and retention. Compliance and HR Administration Maintain employee relations records, case files, disciplinary documentation, and confidential HR records. Prepare reports related to employee relations, labor cases, compliance requirements, and workforce concerns. Ensure proper documentation and timely closure of employee and labor-related cases. Support audits, inspections, and other compliance-related requirements. Ensure consistent implementation and application of company policies, procedures, and code of conduct standards. Site HR Support Provide HR support to employees and site leadership on workforce-related matters. Assist in the implementation of HR policies, programs, and organizational initiatives. Coordinate with Corporate HR on employee movements, performance-related concerns, employee documentation, and other HR requirements as needed. Support employee communications, orientations, and HR-related activities within the site. Stakeholder Management Build and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, managers, and other key stakeholders. Partner with site leadership in addressing workforce issues and promoting a positive workplace culture. Support management in fostering employee engagement, accountability, and organizational effectiveness. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Behavioral Science, Industrial Relations, or a related field. Minimum of eight (8) years of Human Resources experience, with substantial exposure to Employee Relations and Labor Relations functions. Proven experience handling employee grievances, workplace investigations, disciplinary processes, administrative cases, employee counseling, conflict resolution, and labor compliance matters. Strong knowledge of the Philippine Labor Code, labor standards, labor relations practices, and employment regulations. Experience supporting site-based, industrial, construction, energy, manufacturing, or operations environments is highly preferred. Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, negotiation, communication, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with professionalism and sound judgment. Capable of working independently and effectively supporting both employees and management. Willing to be assigned on a Site-Based work arrangement in Gapan City, Nueva Ecija.
